The Story behind the Designer
I’m Rita, an Interior Designer and BBC Interior Design Masters finalist.
I design homes and commercial spaces with personality: retails shops, bars, pubs, reStaurants, B&B’s, guest houses and hotels.
If you’ re curious about the person behind the designer here is a little of my story so far.
Born in Iraq, from Lebanese heritage, my life has been shaped by movement, including fleeing two wars that made me the person you see.
From Iraq, to Cyprus, Lebanon and, since 2006. the UK, I’ve learned what it really means to find home, and how to create one.
In 1990, when I was nine, the Gulf War began and the life my parents had built disappeared overnight: their businesses, our home, everything we owned.We left with a few suitcases and our memories, spent about a year in Cyprus before moving to Lebanon.
I was never the child who fitted the uniform. I loved Art, clothes and everything about home. Watching my mum create a beautiful home wherever we landed taugh me how deeply a space shapes the way we feel.

So I decided to follow my passion and complete an interior Design degree in 2005. I LOVED every day of my five years at university!
However due to the war in 2006 in Lebanon, I moved to the UK and started working for a big fashion retailer learning new skills as a visual merchandising expert.
In 2018 I decided to leave London and move to the North West of England and live in the countryside and reinvent a life I want.
Now I help individuals and businesses with their vision and make their dreams come true through design.
